On Saturday, Dec 13, I met my sweet friend, Yen, at Hereen after being impatient to get out of my workplace. I do not like to work on Saturdays. Initially, I thought of taking a half day off from work but I did not as I would be greatly bored if I took a half day off. We walked around Hereen first before deciding to go Far East Plaza since we had not been there for ages. It was really tiring to walk to FEP as I was carrying a heavy backpack. My backpack was full of a 12” Beloved white iBook, a bag of rechargers, USB slots, makeup case, etc. Too many to be named. *LOLz*

Yen offered to carry my backpack. But I declined cos she looked pretty in her pure white/black dress. She said she was fine with it. So she carried my backpack as well as my x-girl leopard bag. I carried her bag. I was touched that she endured all the way carrying my really heavy backpack. My Dad was not in Singapore on that day. That was why I had to carry. Usually, Dad would come to my workplace to take my backpack home. I was not the PRINCESS for that night +_+

We finally reached FEP after a “long” walk. We went down to Level One to see what we wanted to buy. We walked around till we reached a shop, MONDO. We saw so many footwear. We took a real long time to try a few pairs! Hee~ And I saw a pair of green pumps.. I fell in love with them. Yen said they looked really nice. But I knew I could not wear them due to my weak ankles and knees. I told her to take photo of them secretly. She obliged and took a photo of them.

Pretty Green Pumps! (Wedges Pumps)

Then we decided on our purchases. I cleanly forgot taking photos of Yen’s trying on shoes. =_=

Black Gladiator Shoes. ONLY $9.90!!!!

They look great with my toenail colors! Yen liked my nail colors cos they were really pretty and nice color!

I painted it on my fingernails and toenails myself~ Nice Color right? They cost $30 for 2 (now $32 for 2).

We walked around FEP and stopped by Enamour Beauty as I wanted to take a look at nail polish colors. It is my favorite place as it has a very good service with young pretty staff. That is where I bought my nail color for my fingernails and toenails.

Enamour Beauty. RATE: VERY GOOD SERVICE! Friendly and attentive staff!

Yen told me that she loves falsies (False Lashes). I told her that DARKNESS is a good brand for falsies. She told me that she has a few of them at home. She purchased some of the items from that shop. The staff whom I know for sometimes, offered to put a pair of falsies on her eyelids. Yen was okay with it. Then the same staff asked me to try them on. I hesitated for some times then I obliged to try. She chose a shorter falsies for me as I was wearing a pair of spectacles. She was really professional and attentive towards us. She is very young.. I think in her early twenties or just 19 (?)

Falsies on our eyelids! The staff put glittery eyeliners for us! Sweet staff..

Thanks Yen! Two boxes of falsies costs $17.02 after 20% discount.

DARKNESS 2-in-1 Eyeliner & Eye Glue can last for 3 years as the staff claimed. She told us that the Made-in-China product would last only 1 year. We said to each other that we should try it since it is also an eye liner too. Previously, we had to use our fingers to fix the falsies to our eyelids. Really troublesome. Then we saw Eyelash Holder! Really very convenient and fast without any mess!

We ended our shopping moment and went Maxwell Food Centre to have our late dinner there. We met our friends there and stayed till the wee hours of the morning..

Reached home at 3am! Home Sweet Home~ Mummy was really sweet to stay up to wait for me.. I thought she would be sleeping cos she SMSed me saying she would be sleeping. But when I arrived home, she was watching her fav K-Drama on TV and waved at me! Sweet Mummy hor?

Thanks to someone who suggested knitting to exchange scarves. I embarked out on knitting which I last knitted when I was 8 years old or 9 years old! It has been 20 years. Nevertheless, I still remember how to start knitting (CAST ON) and knit the ONLY ONE MOST EASY STITCH. The ONLY ONE MOST EASY STITCH is called KNIT. I could remember how I do the KNIT STITCH. I was taught by my aunties when I was very young. That time, I was very much into Barbie Dolls so I knitted mini tube dresses for them. Then I stopped. Maybe that time I grew tired of it.

So this year, I picked up again. Gradually, it became my hobby. I find it fun to knit! Now I m doing RIBSTITCH – the combined of KNIT and PURL. Initially I thought it was easy to do RIBSTITCH. When I tried, it was really hard and tiring to remember how many KNITs and PURLs to do. I repeated it a few times. But I never gave up till now, I can manage slowly.

I admire my two CHINA colleagues at work. Their fingers and hands are SUPER SPEEDY! They knit really SUPER FAST! I was like “OMG!”

Here is the pictures of knitting scarves:

Left: Done by Ms Professional Bitch in less than 1 month.
Right: Done by My CHINA Colleague in only 3 days!

Done by Ms Professional Bitch
Stitch Pattern: KNIT
Knitting Sticks Size: 8MM

Done by My China Colleague
Stitch Pattern: Mix of KNIT and PURL (very complicated due to many diff patterns you see)
Knitting Sticks Size: 4.5MM

Done by another China Colleague in about 2-3 days I think
Stitch Pattern: KNIT
Knitting Sticks Size: 4.5MM

I buy my Knitting Sticks from SPOTLIGHT at Plaza Singapura Level 5. The brand is BIRCH, plastic type. I get my Knitting Yarns from Golden Dragon Pte Ltd at People’s Park Complex Level 2. Dad also got me many Knitting Yarns from Garden Street, Hong Kong around Mongkok area.

Ahh.. I get back to my RIBSTITCH Knitting now….. See You.. =)

My Best Findings!

Today, during my lunch-buying hour, I went Lucky Plaza with my cleaner colleague to get the glass clock fixed. While getting the clock fixed, I went to the next shop which has many Factory Rejects. Factory Rejects are the unwanted goods or old stocks. The shop is on Level One near the escalator. When the top got my eyes cos I saw “Old Navy” label on this. I was like “AMERICAN LABEL at this SHOP?”
And.. I took it.. Bought it…

ONLY $5! OMG! Really F-CHEAP!

Old Navy Label intact!

After the top got my eyes, I went to the other side… I saw SPORTS JACKETS.. Ranging from Adidas to PUMA! I took one cos I like it.. So I bought it….

ONLY $20! Not kidding you!

Puma Label intact! I had to remove silver marker on the label by using Nail Polish Remover.

It is the company policy (from what I heard from the forum) to SLASH the Labels by cutting the labels off or markering them using silver or black markers. If you are LUCKY, you can find the BEST FINDINGS with Labels intact. Before you buy, you have to check the defects first. I was LUCKY to find them among the clothes racks.. =)

I m even surprised that I can find the clothes which are factory rejects at REALLY GOOD PRICES. Now I dun mind getting them as Factory Rejects as long as I can have the BEST FINDINGS.

Talking about Factory Rejects, I remember I went to USA with my parents before the 21st Century started. I think it was 1998 or 1999. I still remember that we went with a Singaporean Tour Group to Los Angeles, Las Vegas and San Francisco. From Los Angeles, with the tour group, my parents and I were in a coach bus going through the Southern California desert town to reach Las Vegas. There was a huge factory outlet called Barstow Factory Outlet. It has over 90 factory outlets where you can find branded goods at a really great bargain prices. Most are over 50% to 90% off regular prices.

From there, Mummy got me GAP Jacket, DKNY Jeans, Anne Klein pants and some I don’t remember as it is very long time ago.

Enjoy reading about Barstow Factory Outlets. You won’t regret shopping there if you fly to USA.

For the time being, I hope to fly to Hong Kong in December this year as there are some factory outlets there too.

Meanwhile I just found the URL address for Barstow Factory Outlet

Today is the day I m going out with my parents. I have a good time with my parents. =)

After my lunch at home, I went to AXS Machine with Mummy to retrieve movie ticket which I booked online yesterday.

Daddy came to meet us at 7-Eleven opposite my home. We went to Plaza Singapura where the movie was held. The car park was really FULL! But lucky, we came at 1.15pm so we had enough time to walk around before going for our movie. We went to a few shops. And we fell in love with one shop selling beautiful colored papers, boxes, etc. It was called “MADE WITH LOVE” on Level 4. Mummy bought one for me….. =)

Price: $9.95

After shopping at “MADE WITH LOVE”, we went up for our movie.. Well, we were going to watch…..

A Movie for KIDS! *LOL*

But it was Daddy who really wanted to watch that. So I booked online… The movie is about…

“Enthusiastic, big and a little clumsy, Po (Jack Black) is the biggest fan of kung fu around…which doesn’t exactly come in handy while working every day in his family’s noodle shop. Unexpectedly chosen to fulfill an ancient prophecy, Po’s dreams become reality when he joins the world of kung fu and studies alongside his idols, the legendary Furious Five—Tigress (Angelina Jolie), Crane (David Cross), Mantis (Seth Rogen), Viper (Lucy Liu) and Monkey (Jackie Chan)—under the leadership of their guru, Master Shifu (Dustin Hoffman). But before they know it, the vengeful and treacherous snow leopard Tai Lung (Ian McShane) is headed their way, and it’s up to Po to defend everyone from the oncoming threat. Can he turn his dreams of becoming a kung fu master into reality? Po puts his heart into the task, and the unlikely hero ultimately finds that his greatest weaknesses turn out to be his greatest strengths.”

Rating: G (General – Suitable for ALL AGES)
Featuring: Jack Black, Angelina Jolie, David Cross, Seth Rogen, Lucy Liu, Jackie Chan, Dustin Hoffman
English subtitles (Cathay Cineplex AMK Hub, Mandarin version without subtitle)

MY RATING FOR THIS MOVIE:
10/10 (believe me or not. go watch it =P)

Not bad movie!! I had a good laugh.. After the movie, we went shopping at DAISO, a 2-dollar dept store. I love DAISO! Cos you can find many cute things there! DAISO at IMM is the BIGGEST branch. VivoCity’s DAISO is the second biggest. Plaza Singapura’s Daiso is the smallest.. *LOLz*
We had our dinner at Swensens.. YuMmY…..

After Plaza Singapura, we went to Sim Lim Square and Funan Centre to check out the price of the Modem but most shops were closed by the time we arrived =(

Lastly, Daddy dropped me and Mummy at NTUC Bishan near bus interchange for our groceries shopping while Daddy waited for us at the car park opposite NTUC Bishan.

And after our groceries shopping, HOME SWEET HOME! =P Really a tiring day! But we enjoyed…

That day, I felt it was too early for me to start working. So I went John Little Orchard in my spa uniform to shop for Father’s Day gift. I had a long time choosing a nice tie… After purchasing a tie at the cashier at Men’s Dept, I went down to Level 1. When I peeked at Basement 1, many colors of shorts caught my eye! I went down and took a look. I saw the poster saying Buy 2, Free 1. OMG! That was a good deal! I chose………………..
